The ALTO GARDEN GX Light Kit is a great add-on if you originally purchased the ALTO GARDEN GX Tower without lights. Perhaps you want to re-locate your tower to another part of your home that doesn't have sufficient light. The GX light kit is easy to add to your existing tower, and will provide broad spectrum lighting for your plants. The light base includes a built-in timer which can be set in 15 minute increments. For example - set your lights to turn on at 8:00, 8:15, 8:45 or 9:00am. They'll turn "on" at the same time everyday and you can similarly set a daily "off" time as well. Once your lighting schedule is set they'll run automatically for you until you change them again.
Once placing the light kit on top of your tower, they can be rotatated 360 degrees around the tower for optimal lighting placment. The lights can also be moved closer to, or farther away from your plants. This is beneficial because the lights can be adjusted closer to the tower when your plants are smaller. Then you can move the lights further from the tower to accomodate plant growth. Be careful with lighting systems with other brands because often times the lights can't be adjusted. This can lead to inadequate light, or light that is too close to your plants. But with the ALTO GARDEN GX Tower - you can perfectly place your lights, exactly where they need to be.
